The New Center for Performing Arts
The arts are a vital component of a strong community. They ignite a passion for lifelong learning and creativity that fosters networks for leadership and in turn, encourages a vibrant business community.
Together with the Foundation, Hartnell College has pledged to update and remodel its Center for Performing Arts, home of The Western Stage.
A capital campaign is about so much more than just a building: It’s an opportunity to engage the community, build culture and pride, and invest in enriching and often life changing experiences for youth.

This campaign is in response to The President’s Task Force, launched in 2013. This group was comprised of 43 members representing the community and campus leadership. They oversaw a campus-wide needs assessment that identified key initiatives appropriate for private support. These initiatives are the basis of our new five-year, $15 million funding plan and mark our second capital campaign. The second highest ranking initiative was for support of the arts.
